Sealy mattress warranty sagging:

Your warranty applies to mattresses continuously supported by a matching box spring, or equivalent, with an appropriate frame. If the mattress sags or has indentations less than 1½” for Latex or Innerspring or less than 3/4″ for Memory Foam mattresses, these are not covered by the warranty.

What does the Sealy mattress warranty cover?

Sealy mattresses are intended to be used on a firm, solid-surface, non-spring base, or height-adjustable base capable of physically bearing the weight of the customer’s Sealy mattress and user (s).

This Restricted Warranty and other reliability warranties are based on testing performed on “sets” of their mattresses and foundations/adjustable bed bases.

As a result, if the buyer uses the mattress with unsuitable foundations, adjustable bed bases, box springs, or bed frames.

This restricted warranty and all other warranties, whether expressed or implied, will be void, including, without restriction, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

The information on the legislation tag connected to the mattress can be used to calculate the length and terms of this guarantee.

In the example below, locate the “Warranty” area on your mattress’s legal tag. A Warranty Code and a 12-digit Serial Number are included in the Warranty field.

Example: (taken from the official website of Sealy Mattress)

Warranty Code: 10/10

SN 340500XXXXXX

The digit to the left of the slash mark represents the years that warrantable repairs or mattress replacements are supplied without a deductible (exclusive of any applicable transportation and inspection costs).

The number shows the entire warranty time in years to the right of the slash mark. Your mattress guarantee includes a deductible for any warrantable repairs or replacement if the number to the left of the slash is smaller than the number to the right of the incision.

For instance, suppose the Warranty Code is 10/10. In such a scenario, your mattress has a 110-year limited guarantee, with any warrantable repairs or replacements delivered without a deductible within the first ten years.

You are still liable for any relevant transportation and inspection fees.

Your mattress has a 10-year limited guarantee if the Warranty Code is 5/10.

Any warrantable services or replacements are delivered without a deductible during the first 5 years of the warranty term. You are, however, liable for all necessary transit and inspection charges.

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • Comfort preference
  • Damage caused by a faulty bed frame, foundation, or adjustable base. An appropriate bed frame is described and shown above.
  • Discounted floor models or demonstration samples (“demos”) (See separate warranty for demos and floor models).
  • Item offered “as is,” “preconditioned,” “refurbished,” “used,” “comfortable return,” “returned,” “previously owned,” or any other similar phrase implying that the item is not “new” or of “first quality,” or that it has initially been bought or used by another user.
  • Physical abuse or destruction to the body or cover material, such as burns, wounds, rips, liquid damage, or stains. However, the mattress will be covered under the standard guarantee if the abuse or damage does not result in a warranty flaw.
  • Unauthorized resellers offer the product.
  • Regular indentations or sagging (utterly unconnected to foundation sagging) of less than 1½” for Latex or Innerspring mattresses, or less than 3/4″ for Memory Foam mattresses, ARE NOT COVERED. If it is discovered that an indentation was caused by something other than a defective product, this warranty will not cover it.
  • Replacement of the companion item in a Sealy sleep system if just one portion is faulty unless that accompanying piece is likewise faulty.

Sealy Mattress Sagging:

Your Sealy mattress is starting to sag in the middle-is this a cause for concern? The answer is: it depends.

A little sagging is normal and may not be cause for alarm. However, if your mattress is severely sagging, it may no longer be providing you with the support you need, which can lead to health problems.

If your mattress is less than six years old and has only minimal sagging, there’s no need to replace it yet.

However, if it’s more than six years old or has significant sagging, you should consider buying a new one. When shopping for a new mattress, be sure to try out several different models and find one that’s both comfortable and supportive.
